The first thing I do when making a DFS lineup is check the Vegas implied point totals. The smart strategy is to target players in games where the projected points are the highest. Vegas is not in the business of losing money. Countless amounts of time and money are spent each week to ensure that these projections are as accurate as possible. This week, I am targeting two specific games. Saints vs. Giants and Falcons vs. Bengals. These four teams are projected to put up over 100 points. In a perfect world, that’s 14 touchdowns. Now it’s time to choose which player’s have the best chance of success on Sunday.

Giovanni Bernard (6000): This one is a no brainer. The price is phenomenal and the workload should be massive. Even if the Falcons take a huge lead, Bernard will still remain involved in the passing game. This Falcons have been battered with injuries and remains one of the leagues worst defenses against pass catching running backs. Over the past two weeks Atlanta has allowed a whopping 29 receptions and 226 receiving yards to the lead back. An RB1 finish is a virtual lock, and at the small price of $6000, you cant go wrong.

Eli Manning (6300): This selection does not come without it’s share of risk but if you need upside, look for Eli Manning. This desperate Giants team will face The Saints at home in what’s expected to be a shootout. New Orleans currently ranks dead last in points allowed per game (34.3) and the defense continues to show no signs of improvement. As for New York, they are coming off of their best offensive performance of the season and will look to continue that trend heading into Week 4.
