Lawr’s DFS Picks for the Real Time “Beat the Experts” Contest, May 11, 2018

Want to take on the Creativesports 2.0 staff, braino-y-braino, at  DFS?

Well, you can indeed at RealTime Sports, matching up against my Creativesports 2.0 mates and me, and get some bragging rights in the process.

Tune in here daily, as we pick up the Creativesports 2.0 gauntlet where you can play our daily 50/50 game ($5) or come right after us — for we will rotate experts — on Fridays in the free Beat the Experts contest. Beat us and you can win $2, and that might be easier than you think!

Checking with Mother Nature, the midwest is looking at some showers, particularly over Cleveland and Detroit, so do check your lineup before game time.

Tyler Skaggs ($4500): I am going with Justin Verlander as my high-priced hurler today, so Skaggs makes a nice and cheap complement. Skaggs, who has a 3.08 ERA to go with 39 strikeouts over 38 frames, faces the Twins at home, and while the Minnesotans are hitting .266 off lefties, they have just five homers so the advantage goes to the Angel who should keep the ball in the park and away from the Twins sticks.

Freddie Freeman ($5900): Freeman brings his 9.82 FPPG into a game where he faces Dan Straily, who has logged a 6.75 ERA and allowed 17 baserunners over eight innings with three whiffs thus far in 2018.
