Elaine’s DraftKings DFS EPL Picks for Feb. 9, 2019

DraftKings has six games on the slate this Saturday. Salah is the highest-priced player and will probably be highly rostered. Passing on Salah will be difficult, regardless of recent performance, since Liverpool will play at home against Bournemouth against whom Salah scored a hat trick on Dec. 8. Liverpool defenders are a good investment also. Alexander-Arnold should return. Arsenal also has a great matchup against Huddersfield. Working in Liverpool and Arsenal players will require value at low prices.

The standard lineup at DraftKings consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, one goalkeeper and one utility player. Saturday’s fixtures are below. The Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) comes from the Fantasy Premier League website. The rating is from 1-5 with one being the lowest difficulty rating and five being the highest difficulty rating (higher the rating, better the team).

Fixtures for February 9, 2019

Home Team FDR Away Team FDR
Crystal Palace 2 West Ham 3
Huddersfield 2 Arsenal 4
Liverpool 5 Bournemouth 2
Southampton 2 Cardiff 2
Watford 3 Everton 3
Brighton 2 Burnley 2

Brighton, F, Jürgen Locadia ($6,900): Locadia has been getting playing time and contributing in shots, crosses and defensive stats. The Viking hasn’t scored a goal yet, but a matchup against Burnley is a great time to do so. Last week, Locadia earned 11.5 fantasy points. Foreshadow?

Southampton, D, Matt Targett ($5,300): Targett doesn’t get points with the money-shot goals. The Southampton defender is a big part of the set pieces. Targett awarded fantasy players 15.5 points the last time Cardiff was on the other side of the pitch.
