Elaine’s DraftKings DFS EPL Picks for Feb. 27, 2019

The lights are bright in Broadway, and the stars are plentiful on Wednesday’s six-game EPL slate. Eight players are above $9000: Salah, Agüero, Aubameyang, Mahrez, Sané, Hazard, Pogba, and Kane. Aubameyang at home against Bournemouth is very tempting. Man City has a great matchup against West Ham, making Agüero a top pick. Who gets the start for Man City is the club’s frustration to fantasy players.

Two cheaper options among the shining stars are Hazard and Kane. The match between the Blues and the Spurs will be fun — the Spurs have been winning, but they concede goals. The Blues have not looked good, only winning two of their last five games. Chelsea is in sixth place, and winning against the Spurs would get them closer to getting back into the top four. Which star will shine the brightest? How many can you get on your roster?

The standard lineup at DraftKings consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, one goalkeeper and one utility player. Saturday’s fixtures are below. The Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) comes from the Fantasy Premier League website. The rating is from 1-5 with one being the lowest difficulty rating and five being the highest difficulty rating (higher the rating, better the team).

Fixtures for Feb. 27, 2019

Home Team FDR Away Team FDR
Arsenal 4 Bournemouth 2
Southampton 2 Fulham 2
Crystal Palace 2 Man United 4
Chelsea 4 Spurs 4
Liverpool 4 Watford 3
Man City 4 West Ham 3

Manchester United, GK, David De Gea ($5,200): De Gea has a moderate chance for a clean sheet. Man Utd has seven clean sheets this season (Liverpool leads with 15). De Gea will be up against lucky 7 — Crystal Palace has the seventh-fewest goals but has taken the seventh-most shots. Nice stats for an opposing keeper: saves but few or no goals.

Bournemouth, M/F, Jordon Ibe ($4,200): Junior Stanislas has been ruled out, so Ibe should get the start. Ibe was part of set pieces a few days ago and scored 6.8 fantasy points. Set piece opportunity should continue in Wednesday’s match against Arsenal. Ibe’s low price makes him a good fill-in to make room for a couple of stars.
