DraftKings has four matches slated for Monday, June 25th – two from Group A and two from Group B.
Group A, 10:00 AM Eastern
Saudi Arabia vs Egypt: neither team can advance.
Uruguay vs Russia: Russia and Uruguay are both advancing to the knockout round but this game will determine which finishes first.
Group B, 2:00 PM Eastern
Iran vs Portugal: Portugal’s backs are against the wall and they will need Ronaldo to get them to the knockout round. Ronaldo is expensive ($12,900) but it’s a high chance he scores. Iran and Portugal’s fates are intertwined with their win/draw/loss and that of Spain’s.
Spain vs Morocco: Morocco cannot advance. If Spain loses and Portugal wins, Spain does not advance. The two matches are played at the same time so look for Spain to attack hard.
The standard lineup at DraftKings consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, one goalkeeper, and one utility player.
Russia M Aleksandr Samedov ($5100) Samedov accumulated 10.5 fantasy points last match and averages 7.5 points so far. The Russian midfielder doesn’t get points from goals or assists, but with crosses and possibly a penalty kick.
Spain D Sergio Ramos ($4500) Spain is a strong choice for a clean sheet. While Ramos won’t dazzle with offense, the Spaniard is does his job and plays solid defense.
