Elaine’s Draft Kings DFS World Cup Picks for June 18

Draft Kings has three matches slated for Monday, June 18th. Belgium vs Panama is the most skewed of the games with Belgium heavily favored led by Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard. England vs Tunisia will showcase England’s stars Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy. The closest match should be Korea vs Sweden. Many will look to Belgium defenders as a clean sheet is expected. Goalies get two points per save, five points for a clean sheet and five points for a win. While Belgium’s goalie may look like an easy choice, points for saves are doubtful.

The standard lineup at Draft Kings consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, one goalkeeper, and one utility player.

Belgium, D, Jan Vertonghen ($4600) Vertonghen should get a clean sheet as Belgium takes on Panama, one of the lowest ranked teams in the World Cup. Compared to the high cost of the top defenders, Vertonghen should provide fantasy points worthy of the cost.

Korea, F, Son Heung-Min ($7500) Son was a productive player this past season in the English Premier League with 12 goals and 6 assists in 37 appearances, and will be playing a major role for the Korean team. The price is still a little high but not when compared to the top forwards whose prices are double digits.
