Elaine’s Draft Kings DFS EPL Picks for May 5

Draft Kings has five matches slated for Saturday, May 5th. It’s a long week for the EPL and 12 clubs will have two matches. Swansea, Southampton, and West Brom are still fighting to avoid the costly ignominious relegation. The most favorable fantasy matchup is Tottenham against West Brom so one option is to choose a Spur defender rather than spend $12,200 on Harry Kane.

The standard lineup at Draft Kings consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, one goalkeeper, and one utility player. Saturday’s fixtures are below. The Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) comes from the Fantasy Premier League website. The rating is from 1-5 with one being the lowest difficulty rating and five being the highest difficulty rating (higher the rating, better the team).

Fixtures for April 14, 2018

Home Team FDR Away Team FDR Weather
Bournemouth 3 Swansea 3 Clear
Leicester 3 West Ham 3 Partly Cloudy
Watford 3 Newcastle 3 Clear
West Brom 2 Tottenham 4 Partly Cloudy
Everton 3 Southampton 2 Partly Cloudy

Tottenham D Jan Vertonghen ($4400): The Spurs who are already boasting 15 clean sheets (Vertonghen on the pitch for 14) will face off against last place West Brom.  The Belgian will not get points from goals or assists but does rack up on the peripherals like tackles.

Southampton M Dusan Tadic ($7400): Southampton is close to getting out of the bottom three, and Tadic has stepped up to avoid relegation. The Serb had a crazy 32.8 points last match scoring two goals. The Carolina Reaper hot Serb has not earned less than eight points his last five matches.
