Elaine’s DraftKings DFS EPL Picks for Aug. 25

Draft Kings has five games on Saturday’s slate, and the huge favorite is Liverpool over BHA, making Salah ($11,300) and Mané ($10,700) popular and expensive selections. Arsenal at home against West Ham provide some players with almost as much potential as Salah and Mané, but at a lower price. However, if you want one of the two highest players, you’ll have to find a bargain.

The standard lineup at Draft Kings consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, one goalkeeper, and one utility player. Saturday’s fixtures are below. The Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) comes from the Fantasy Premier League website. The rating is from 1-5 with one being the lowest difficulty rating and five being the highest difficulty rating (higher the rating, better the team).

Fixtures for August 25, 2018

Home Team FDR Away Team FDR
Arsenal 4 West Ham United 3
Bournemouth 3 Everton 3
Huddersfield 2 Cardiff 2
Southampton 2 Leicester 3
Liverpool 4 Brighton and Hove Albion 3

Arsenal, F, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ($8800): Arsenal’s forward is $2500 cheaper than Salah. Aubameyang didn’t score in the first two games of the season, but the matchups were tough. The Gabon was a stud at home last year, with seven of 10 goals and 3 of 4 assists. This week Arsenal is at home facing West Ham, which has given up six goals in two matches.

Southampton, F, Charlie Austin ($5900): Eyes are on Danny Ings for the obvious — goals scored — but Austin’s potential was evident from last year’s streak of five goals in seven matches. So, we’re choosing to be “Austin Strong.”
