There are eleven NBA games on the main Friday December 15th slate at Draft Kings. I enjoy playing these large slates and I especially like to search for the right value plays to go along with high priced studs I’m targeting like Russell Westbrook and James Harden.
The contests begin at 7:00 pm tonight so be sure to check and see if the players you have selected are actually playing tonight.
The standard lineup at Draft Kings consists of one point guard, one shooting guard, one small forward, one power forward, one center, one guard, one forward and one utility player.
With all the high priced options tonight we are going to need to find some solid value plays. For me that means players priced at $5,000 dollars or less that have the upside to return anywhere from six times value or more.
I have three such players in great spots Friday that I would like you to consider.
The Oklahoma City Thunder game notes for Friday lists Andre Roberson as out. If that is indeed the case SG/SF Alex Abrines ($3600) will probably see 30 plus minutes and is in a great spot Friday against a Philadelphia 76ers defense allowing 31 points per game via the three point shot and over their past five games have allowed shooting guards to average 76.9 Draft Kings points per game. In the past ten contests Abrines is 14-29 from beyond the arc and has exceeded eight times value in two of his last five games. Each of those two games saw Abrines on the court over 30 minutes much like he will on Friday.
The Atlanta Hawks have allowed 78.9 Draft Kings points per game to power forwards and 106.4 points to small forwards which makes a perfect spot for Memphis Grizzlies SF/PF Chandler Parsons ($4100) to do some damage on Friday night. Parsons has exceeded six times value in two of his past five games. Atlanta also allows 36.6 points per game via the triple and Parsons has been doing okay in this department knocking down 8-22 over his past ten games.
When Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas ($4800) gets more than 25 minutes like he has in his last two games he smashes and he has a great opportunity Friday night at home against a Brooklyn Nets defense allowing centers to average just 31 Draft Kings points per game over their past five games but 61 Draft Kings points per game for the season. Split that number in half and if Valanciunas can get 35-40 Draft Kings points he might win you a GPP on Friday!
Good luck at Draft Kings!!
