English Premier League (EPL) Gameweek 11 is scheduled for this weekend. DraftKings features Saturday, November 4 games for their daily contests.
The standard lineup of each DraftKings contest has one goalkeeper, two defenders, two midfielders, two forwards and, one utility player.
Defender is a position that is often ignored but essential in both DFS and season long leagues. Selecting players from teamswith a favorable weekly match-up, are not injured, and whose current season’s stats are outstanding should be your focus.
When budgeting for Defenders, gravitate towards players with a salary is on the low side. That way the bulk of salary can be used for the point generating midfielders and forwards.
Christopher Schindler (HUD), $3,400. His 32 successful tackles this campaign are better than most.
Shane Duffy (BHA), $2,900. 93 clearances makes Duffy the leader in this category.
James Tarkowsky (BUR), $3,000. Tarky has 89 clearances but he can do more; his header almost put the Clarets in the lead last week.
Stephen Ward (BUR), $4,500. One of the top rated defenders these days, Ward is here just in case you have salary dollars left over.
