DraftKings features several contests for the last four matches of the second Leg of the UEFA Championship League, Round of 16. This week DraftKings contests have tiers and are not salary based. To build a roster we must select one soccer player from each tier. There are six tiers per contest.
The last four matches of Leg 2 will see:
- Roma – Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester United – Sevilla to be played on Tuesday, March13
- Besiktas – Bayern and Barcelona – Chelsea to be played Wednesday, March 14.
After the trashing of Besiktas during Leg 1, I doubt that Bayern will put too much effort or risk injury to their top players in the Leg 2 match. So, I am staying away from Bayern. Regarding the other three matches, Roma, Man. United and Barcelona must score to advance. I will build my roster around these three teams.
Tier 1: Lionel Messi – Forward – Barcelona: In Messi we trust.
Tier 2: Edin Dzeko – Forward – Roma: Roma must score to advance and Dzeko, team’s top striker, was rested this past weekend.
Tier 3: Diego Perotti – Forward – Roma: Roma has been successful recently, showing that the club is in good physical condition. The betting odds are in Roma’s favor.
Tier 4: Ivan Rakitic – Midfield – Barcelona: A staple of the Blaugrana midfield.
