Not too many of you beat me in last night’s Beat the Experts, so here is another chance.
Checking in with Mother Nature, the weather looks good so far, but check before first pitch at 6:10. We have another 13 game Saturday night slate. There are several aces among the starting pitchers and some lower cost pitching options.
Justin Verlander ($8,200) is expensive just like last Saturday night. And while the matchup is not quite as good as last week vs. the Angels, he has owned several Rangers hitter. Odor, Profar and Gallo are combined 4-for-52 vs. Verlander.
Kole Calhoun ($2,900) provides great value in the outfield tonight. Calhoun has been red hot lately with 12 hits, five home runs and 12 RBI in his past ten games. Locking in Calhoun on the cheap allows you to pay for some Coors bats like…
Nolan Arenado ($7,000) is expensive but well worth the price with Oakland going with the lefty Brett Anderson to start this game.
