Lawr’s PGA Picks for the OHL Classic at Mayakoba

The exotic travel days of the PGA continue as the tour moves south of the border, to El Camaleon Golf Club in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Logging at 6987 yards with a 71 par the four par three’s on the course rank as the easiest quartet on the tour  meaning short hole accuracy is a biggie. Since the course is a little on the short side, accuracy everywhere and ability to control the irons seem like the logical place to exploit, though in a few instances I am simply going with the fave.

These are the names I like. Don’t forget, you can join a foursome playing the DraftKings Weekly Hybrid PGA.

Pat Perez ($11,300):   Perez comes in as the defending champ, solid at Par 3’s, and is 3-for-3 making the cut this season.

Bryson de Chambreau ($8700):  DeChanbreau has started the season hot with a pair of cuts made and a top 10 finish at the Shriners. He has also been among the best at a 150-175 yards out.

Luke List  ($7900):  List, who is 4-for-4 at making the cut this new season, is #68 at GIR from 125 yards and while  his 82.5 points per week tell me he is hot.

Stewart Cink ($7700): Cink ranks second on the tour at GIR and has made a pair of cuts over a pair of tries,

Patton Kizzire ($7400):  Coming off a fourth round finish at the Shriners, Kizzire has two cuts under his belt and is averaging 63.7 points per week.

Richy Werenski ($7000): Werchenski makes a lower end gamble with 3-cuts made this season and pretty good numbers around the green. ranking 6 at proximity to hole.
