Hiding behind the team moniker of “Insert Cool Team Name Here,” Todd Zola romped to a seventh week win in Fout Wars, chalking up 185.3 points, besting Maverick owner Glenn Colton’s 162.4, with Dan Strafford finishing with the bronze, checking at 160.3.
Fueled at the top by Carson Wentz, Kirk Cousins, Ezekiel Elliott, and Mark Ingram, Lord Z got an extra boost from Ted Ginn, Jr. in assembling the dominant team of not just the week, but Todd’s total is a season high thus far.
Colton also benefitted from Cousin and Elliott, but got some juice from Antonio Brown and Even Engram.
Overall Razzballer Rudy Gamble rode 150.3 week into overall first place with 832 points, nudging ahead of Tim Heaney, second at 821.8 with his RotoWire mate Derek Van Riper at 816.5.
Sammy Reid is holding onto fourth at 800.8 while early leader Justin Mason made a nice rebound in fifth with a 151.2 point week, totally 799.8.
The DFS game. hosted by our friends at Fantrax, includes 22 players and is looking for an overall points champion come the end of the season. The spin is that we construct a basic lineup that can be tweaked weekly, adding or subtracting players depending upon how the dollar values adjust within the cap. The league also allows for a pair of quarterbacks, and no kickers or defense!
Check out the results following Week 3 and watch as the point totals grow and the Touts try to adjust and outsmart one another as the season progresses. Live totals can be viewed here.
Remember to tune into the Tout Wars Hour on the FNTSY network, hosted by me, with Justin Mason and featuring Lord Z every Thursday night at 9 PM ET.
