Tout Daily on DraftKings is indeed back, and through Phase one of the Tourney we have three golden tickets to award.
Not surprisingly, Mastersballer Lord Zola lorded it over all, banging out 554.15 points to grab the first golden ticket, followed by Fantasy Alarm’s Rick Wolf (535.9), with RotoWire’s Clay Link (494.15) taking the third of the three prizes.
A new Phase begins tonight in the contest in which totals are gathered for all participants over five four-week periods, with the top three point-scorers per period getting golden tickets to the survivor tournament. That’s where the player with the most points after three contests will be crowned champion. Additionally, the highest scoring player over all 20 weeks earns a wild-card entry to the tournament.
You can check out the leaderboard as the season progresses along with a wrap-up on ToutWars every Wednesday.
And you can see the Touts recommendations as participants suggest a pitcher and hitter every Tuesday on the Tout Wars site.
Jarlin Garcia ($4900): Kind of an unknown with just 27 innings hurled this season but an ERA of 1.00 to go with an 0.815 WHIP. On the other side of the dish, the Phils are batting just .216 against southpaws and in a game that pits a couple of rookie hurlers against one another, the hometown pitcher should come through.
Jose Altuve ($5000): Buying cheap pitchers means stacking with big-time hitters, and Altuve, who leads the majors in hits with 40, can hit anyone. Since he faces lefty Jordan Montgomery, that makes the Astros second sacker not just a prudent selection, but a great one!
