Tout Daily on DraftKings is indeed back, and through Phase One of the Tourney we have three golden tickets to award.
For Phase II, Week 1, Vlad Sedler topped the universe with 148.05 points, followed by Wise Guy Gene McCaffrey who notched 135.05 points, and then the ever present Clay Link with 130.15. Link, who finished third for Phase I, earning a golden ticket already, has a total of 624.3, trailing Rick Wolf (632.6) while Lord Zola tops the heap at 670.2.
You can check out the leaderboard as the season progresses along with a wrap-up on ToutWars every Wednesday.
Totals are gathered for all participants over five four-week periods, with the top three point-scorers per period getting golden tickets to the survivor tournament. That’s where the player with the most points after three contests will be crowned champion. Additionally, the highest scoring player over all 20 weeks earns a wild-card entry to the tournament.
And you can see the Touts recommendations as participants suggest a pitcher and hitter every Tuesday on the Tout Wars site.
Andrew Heaney ($5100): Heaney comes in as a value pick, facing the Rockies who do have some sticks but also suffer facing left-handers, even at home. Hitting .243 versus southpaws, the Coloradans hold the second-highest strikeout total facing lefties at 129, while Heaney, with 24 whiffs over 20.3 frames, has had games with nine and 10 whiffs and today could rank right there with Rockies misses.
Robinson Cano ($3700): Cano, who is hitting a more than respectable .283-3-18, gets to swing against righty Marcus Stroman (7.52 ERA, 1.639 WHIP) at home. Since lefties are batting .303 against the Toronto hurler with a .374 OBP, Cano looks like a no-brainer pick.
