Tout Daily on DraftKings is indeed back, and through Phase One of the tourney we have three golden tickets to award.
RotoWire’s Clay Link, who has been among the top scorers for the six weeks thus far, showed his stuff this past week with a monster 170.1 points, besting second place Ray Murphy (157.1) and third placer Howard Bender (156.4) to claim the overall lead for Phase II with 300.25 points.
Link leads second-place Wise Guy Gene McCaffrey (271.3) and the perennial top team of Lord Zola (258.3) with two weeks to go for this phase.
Both Link and Zola have already earned entree to the survivor tourney, with Rick Wolf grabbing the third ticket first time through the process.
You can check out the leaderboard as the season progresses along with a wrap-up on ToutWars every Wednesday.
For the archivists, totals are gathered for all participants over five four-week periods, with the top three point-scorers per period getting golden tickets to the survivor tournament. That’s where the player with the most points after three contests will be crowned champion. Additionally, the highest scoring player over all 20 weeks earns a wild-card entry to the tournament.
And you can see the Touts’ recommendations as participants suggest a pitcher and hitter every Tuesday on the Tout Wars site.
Zack Greinke ($11,800): Grienke comes in with 53 whiffs over 48.6 frames and faces the Brewers who have struck out 284 times facing righies, and with Grienke hurling at home, let’s give him the advantage.
Carlos Santana ($3700): Switch-hitting Santana (.320-4-14 last week) travels to Baltimore and faces the completely hittable Andrew Cashner, his 4.80 ERA and 1.50 WHIP.
