The top pitcher of the day is Justin Verlander and it’s hard to pass up on him going against his former team, the Tigers. For the Seinfeld watchers out there – The Tigers know how to get the elite pitchers. They just don’t know how to keep them.
The drought may not be good for the plants but it’s good for baseball. Skies are clear. Let’s play!
Alex Bregman ($5400): Staying in Houston, Bregman is $1600 cheaper than Arenado and up against Francisco Liriano whom Bregman has owned previously with a .833 avg. Although the Astros third baseman hasn’t had a home run against Liriano, today could be the day as Bregman has had three home runs the past seven games and averaged 7.5 points against the Tigers this season.
Max Muncy ($4600): The All-Star selected to be a part of the Home Run Derby comes at a cheap price today. Muncy leads the Dodgers for both home runs against right-handed pitchers and home runs at home. The hot Dodger already has three home runs in the series against the Angels and will face Deck McGuire whose ERA (6.10) is as cool as his name.
