Welcome to Week 5! I hope you enjoyed your week off. Draft Kings has five games on the slate for Saturday. Players from Tottenham, Man United and Chelsea sport the high price tags. Chelsea is fun — tied for four in goals scored and second-most goals conceded. The Blues will be at home when they take on the Wolves. You may be able to find value in Wolves players, like Jiménez, since the Blues are favored. Look to the less sexy clubs for some bargains.
The standard lineup at Draft Kings consists of two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders, one goalkeeper and one utility player. Saturday’s fixtures are below. The Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) comes from the Fantasy Premier League website. The rating is from 1-5 with one being the lowest difficulty rating and five being the highest difficulty rating (higher the rating, better the team).
Fixtures for Sept. 14, 2019
Home Team | FDR | Away Team | FDR |

Burnley, F, Ashley Barnes ($7,300): Barnes’ price tag may not seem like a bargain. However, the Clarets striker is averaging 17.3 points per game. The only game Barnes did not achieve double-digit points was against Liverpool. Barnes’ points average is higher than several with larger price tags. Sugar coat that with a favorable match against Brighton, which has already given up seven goals this season.
Crystal Palace, M, Jeffrey Schlupp ($4,500): Schlupp has only played 80 minutes or more in two matches, so his 13.95 average points for those two games is a small sample size. The Spurs defense isn’t impenetrable. On the other hand, the Eagles don’t score a lot, but they do try. Schlupp gets points with peripherals — shots, crosses and fouls drawn
