There are eight NBA games on the main Wednesday January 31th slate at Draft Kings. I enjoy playing these mid-size slates and I especially like to search for the right value plays to go along with high priced studs I’m targeting like Joel Embiid and LeBron Williams.
The contests begin at 7:00 pm tonight so be sure to check and see if the players you have selected are actually playing tonight.
The standard lineup at Draft Kings consists of one point guard, one shooting guard, one small forward, one power forward, one center, one guard, one forward and one utility player.
With all the high priced options tonight we are going to need to find some solid value plays. For me that means players priced at $5,000 dollars or less that have the upside to return anywhere from six times value or more.
I have two such players under $5000 and one player slightly over $5000 that I am considering for Friday night’s slate.
Charlotte Hornets SF Michael Kidd-Gilchrist ($4200) has a good opportunity on Wednesday against an Atlanta Hawks defense allowing small forwards to average 72.7 Draft Kings points per game over their past five games. Kidd-Gilchrist has exceeded six times value in one of his past five games and with his upside he is strictly a GPP tournament play.
Portland Trail Blazers PF/C Ed Davis ($4600) has exceeded six times value in four of his past five games and has a great opportunity Wednesday night against a Chicago Bulls defense allowing power forwards to average 94.5 Draft Kings points per game over their past five games.
Indiana Pacers point guard Corey Joseph ($3900) has a great opportunity on Wednesday against a Memphis Grizzlies defense allowing point guards to average 66.7 Draft Kings points per game over their past five games. Joseph has exceeded six times value in three of his past five games and if he gets his usual allotment of 24-28 minutes he will make a fine play on Wednesday.
Good luck at Draft Kings!!
