There are six NBA games on the main Wednesday February 7th 2018 slate at Draft Kings. I enjoy playing these smaller size slates and I especially like to search for the right value plays to go along with high priced studs I’m targeting like James Harden or Anthony Davis.
The contests begin at 7:00 pm tonight so be sure to check and see if the players you have selected are actually playing tonight.
The standard lineup at Draft Kings consists of one point guard, one shooting guard, one small forward, one power forward, one center, one guard, one forward and one utility player.
With all the high priced options tonight we are going to need to find some solid value plays. For me that means players priced at $5,000 dollars or less that have the upside to return anywhere from six times value or more.
I have three such players under $5000 that I am considering for Wednesday night’s slate.
Indiana Pacers PG Cory Joseph ($4600) has a very solid opportunity on Wednesday night against a New Orleans Pelicans defense allowing point guards to average 57.3 Draft Kings points per game over their past five games. Pacers point guard Darren Collison is out for the next two weeks and in his first game as the starter Joseph played 36 minutes and over the past five games has exceeded six times value in three of the past five games.
San Antonio Spurs SG/SF Danny Green ($4900) has a good opportunity on Wednesday against a Phoenix Suns defense allowing shooting guards to average 93.2 Draft Kings points per game over their past five games. The Suns have also allowed the shooting guard position to knock down 7.4 triples in that same five game period and that bodes well for a sharpshooter like Green who averages nearly two made threes a night and has exceeded six times value in one of his past five games.
Detroit Pistons SG/SF Stanley Johnson ($4700) has seen a small price drop and that’s a good thing as he has a solid opportunity on Wednesday night against a Brooklyn Nets defense allowing shooting guards to average 88.2 Draft Kings points per game and small forwards to average 62.5 Draft Kings points per game over their past five games. Over the past five games Johnson has exceeded six times value twice and if you are looking for upside Johnson has 50 point potential.
Good luck at Draft Kings!!
