Want to take on the Creativesports 2.0 staff, braino-y-braino, at DFS?
Well, you can indeed at RealTime Sports, matching up against my Creativesports 2.0 mates and me, and get some bragging rights in the process.
Tune in here daily, as we pick up the Creativesports 2.0 gauntlet where you can play our daily 50/50 game ($5) or come right after us — for we will rotate experts — on Fridays in the free Beat the Experts contest. Beat us and you can win $2, and that might be easier than you think!
There are aces to avoid on this Friday slate, with the likes of Max Scherzer, Luis Severino, Corey Kluber, Noah Syndergaard, Patrick Corbin and James Paxton toeing the rubber for their respective clubs. The weather shouldn’t be an issue, but the Reds-Rockies matchup in Colorado will be one to watch for low-priced hitters. Both teams rotate outfielders worthy of DFS if they’re in the starting lineup.
Sean Manaea ($5500): The big A’s lefty has struggled a bit of late, allowing 15 earned runs over his last four starts, but that’s only raised his ERA on the season to 2.71. The Diamondbacks are the ones with the real problem, having scored two or fewer runs in 11 of their past 13 games. Even with Patrick Corbin on the other side, Manaea has his spacious home park to help offset his recent bout of homer-itis (one allowed in each of his past four turns).
Gerardo Parra ($3500)/David Dahl ($3800): I’m stacking either of these Rockies outfielders with Nolan Arenado today, as the Rockies face the Reds struggling righty Sal Romano at Coors Field. (Cincinnati’s Scott Schebler is another interesting name if he gets the start). Over his last two starts, Romano has given up 13 earned in just 7.1 IP, allowing eight walks against eight punchouts. He’s homer-prone and needs to find the zone before the bus to Triple-A picks him up.
