Want to take on the Creativesports 2.0 staff, braino-y-braino, at DFS?
Well, you can indeed at RealTime Sports, matching up against my Creativesports 2.0 mates and me, and get some bragging rights in the process.
Tune in here daily, as we pick up the Creativesports 2.0 gauntlet where you can play our daily 50/50 game ($5) or come right after us — for we will rotate experts — on Fridays in the free Beat the Experts contest. Beat us and you can win $2, and that might be easier than you think!
With a full Friday night slate to choose from, there are deals both in the outfield and on the mound. Be sure to check the weather before game time, as showers are expected before game time in St. Louis and late in the Texas-White Sox game, with some lingering issues in Atlanta and D.C. as well.
Tyson Ross ($4800): The Padre right-hander has quietly been one of MLB’s best comeback stories this year. After missing parts of the past two seasons with shoulder issues followed by thoracic outlet surgery, the 31-year-old is reproducing the types of numbers that made him a top-end starter in 2014 and 2015. He’s been especially good since getting a couple of starts in: Ross has put up a .278 ERA over six starts covering 35.2 innings since April 13, with 44 strikeouts against 15 walks. Fresh off six innings of three-hit, one-run ball against St. Louis, Ross heads to Pittsburgh to face Ivan Nova, he of the 5.01 ERA.
Nomar Mazara ($3800): Mazara is following up on two years of solid production at an extremely young age. This year at just 23, the lefty swinger boasts a .278 average and .848 OPS with 10 home runs, 27 RBI and 24 runs just past the quarter-season mark. He’s batting fourth and consistently knocking extra base hits, with three home runs, two doubles and a triple over his last 10 contests. Only righty Carson Fulmer (6.23 ERA, 1.75 WHIP) stands in his way this evening on the South Side.
