Nothing too concerning on the weather front, with some rain in Atlanta pre-game likely to be gone by the first pitch. We’re looking at a tough slate pitching-wise, with top starters up against top offenses and today’s best ace Noah Syndergaard coming off an injury.
Justin Smoak ($4400): The Blue Jays’ first baseman has homered in three out of his past six games and has a career .257/.381/.657 line with four homers against Red Sox starter Rick Porcello.
Walker Buehler ($5800): The young righty is coming off a fairly nonthreatening rib injury and looked good in a three-inning rehab stint on July 3, striking out five in three innings of work. Outside a random relief appearance flame-out, Buehler has been excellent, having given up two earned runs or fewer in seven of his past nine starts (and only four in each of the other two).
