Scooter Gennett ($3900): One year ago — June 6, 2017, to be exact — the Reds second baseman went nuts with four home runs and 10 RBI in a single game against the Cardinals. What seemed like a freak afternoon was actually the precursor to the following line over 155 games since: 32 home runs, 111 RBI, 94 runs, four stolen bases and a .313/.359/.537 slash. Scooter’s time with the Reds might be winding down, but he’s worth the minimal investment here.
Marco Gonzalez ($3500): The Mariners lefty has been dominant through his last four turns, compiling a 0.35 ERA over 26 innings with three wins. He’s up against an unremarkable offense in Tampa’s spacious ballpark.
