Wiegert Wiggles Into First for Week 9

It figures that over Week 8, when my team finished in the Top 3 for the cycle, but that is not only the week that I am totally jammed up at First Pitch Arizona and the Arizona Fall League, but also the week that Creativesports 2.0 (newer with more stuff!) debuts.

And, as will happen with a new cut, the site is still stabilizing, but the thought of having time to document the past week came and went before I had a chance to look.

However, Week 9 is in the books and that found industry godfather Charlie Wiegert atop the standings with 147.2 points, squeezing out the sparks to keep ahead of Sirius/XM’s Glenn Colton who posted 146.2, 7.2 ahead of third place man Tim Heaney, of Rotowire.

Charlie was carried by Carson Wentz, Adam Thielen, and Marshawn Lynch to grab the weekly title. Wiegert moved into eighth place overall boasting 934.98 overall points, but the Hean-dogg still holds the overall lead with 1081.7, followed by Rudy Gamble (a ridiculously close 1081.56), with another RotoWire man, Derek Van Riper holding third at 1048.74.

The DFS game. hosted by our friends at Fantrax, includes 22 players and is looking for an overall points champion come the end of the season. The spin is that we construct a basic lineup that can be tweaked weekly, adding or subtracting players depending upon how the dollar values adjust within the cap. The league also allows for a pair of quarterbacks, and no kickers or defense!

Check out the results following Week 3 and watch as the point totals grow and the Touts try to adjust and outsmart one another as the season progresses. Live totals can be viewed here.
