Top 4 Players to Trade For to Win Your Fantasy Football Championship

At this point in the season it’s a good idea to pay close attention to playoff schedule. With the trade
deadline looming for most fantasy leagues now is the time to make a move. Targeting players with soft
schedules weeks 14-16 and trading away players with tough matchups is the quickest way to a fantasy
championship.

Remember not to trade down just to hit a better schedule, but always consider underperforming players
as targets since that is where you can truly maximize your value. Below is a list of players to trade for to
win your fantasy championship.

Russell Wilson – QB – Seahawks
Wilson is one of the few players in this league that truly heats up in the second half of the season. As it
stands the former 3 rd round pick is the best QB in all of fantasy football with 5 of his last 7 games going
over 23 fantasy points. The fact that Wilson is already the highest scoring player and historically plays
better in December means he is a must target player. With the depth at the position this year obtaining
the highest scoring fantasy QB may actually be a possibility. The Wilson owner very well could have
someone like Alex Smith or Carson Wentz on the bench. Both undrafted and also top 5 at the position.
Whether you already have a QB or not consider trading for Wilson. He is the type of player that can carry you
to your championship.

Keenan Allen – WR – Chargers
This is the best value play of the entire list. Keenan Allen owners are frustrated and for good reason.
After 334 receiving yards over his first four games, Allen has gained 262 in his past five performances. Allen’s lone
touchdown of the season also came in thatfour game span. It’s safe to say the receiver has been a
complete disappointment recently, but when trading for him, this is a good thing. After a tough matchup against Buffalo for Week 11 the WR faces Dallas, Cleveland, Washington, Kansas City, and The New York Jets. This essentially makes Allen not only a league winning acquisition but also someone who can help secure some wins if playoff hopes are dwindling.

Danny Woodhead – RB – Ravens
If you are in any sort of PPR league Danny Woodhead is an absolute monster. In his one lone drive of the
season he had 3 receptions to go along with 37 total yards. As the primary chain mover Woodhead’s
role in this offense was made crystal clear. That is until the veteran went down with injury only to later
land on IR. Now eligible to return this offense needs an identity, something Woodhead can provide.
Buck Allen has been filling in the past 8 weeks and that role has been good for RB17 on the season. With
Woodhead being the much more skilled player of the two, the upside he provides speaks for itself. With
the injury concern and the fact that most people recently grabbed him off waivers makes Woodhead a
cheaper target that could pay off in the long run.

Doug Baldwin – WR – Seahawks
Just as Wilson gets better in December, Doug Baldwin certainly steps his game up as well. One of the top
players on most championship rosters for two consecutive years this undrafted superstar will look to
make that list a third time. Baldwin is the type of player to have monster performances. 2 TDs and 100+
yards is not an unlikely outcome in any matchup. In 2015 he had 11 receiving touchdowns from weeks12-16. Championship weekend of 2016 he put up 36.1 PPR fantasy points against what was a tough
Arizona Defense. Unfortunately Baldwin has been performing at a WR1 level up to this point in the
season. This means it may be expensive to obtain him but its clear that these numbers can single
handedly win you not only a single game but the entire championship.
