Pasko’s UEFA Championship League Matchday 5 DFS Picks

UEFA Championship League group stage matchday 5 is scheduled for this coming Tuesday, November 21 and Wednesday, November 22.

DraftKings features several dozen DFS contests for both days. The standard lineup of each DraftKings contest has one goalkeeper, two defenders, two midfielders, two forwards and one utility player. To help you prepare for your lineup, we are taking a look at four players, one from each position, from Tuesday games and four from Wednesday games.

Tuesday, 11/21 games. Hurry up, these contests lock today at 2:45 PM Eastern Time.

Goalkeeper: Ederson (Manchester City): At Rotterdam Feyenoord lost 0-4 to City. Ederson is practically assured a clean sheet.
Defender: Ismaily (Shakhtar Donetsk): Napoli desperately needs a win to go through; Shakhtar’s left back will have plenty of opportunities to win tackles and intercept crosses.
Midfielder: Dele Alli (Tottenham): Dortmund’s biggest weakness this year is defense. Spurs want to win to stay on top of their division.
Forward: Timo Werner (RB Leipzig): The young German talent leads RB Leipzig with 7 goals. His team is in a must win situation to have a chance to move on to the Round of 32.

Wednesday, 11/22 games.

Goalkeeper: Alphonse Areola (PSG): No goals yet scored against PSG; will Celtic be the first? No way.
Defender: Alberto Botia (Olympiacos): A must win for Sporting Lisbona to advance. Moreover, goal difference may decide which team goes though hence Sporting will attack the full 90 minutes keeping Botia busy. Incidentally, Botia is team’s captain hence he will be on the pitch.
Midfielder: Miralem Pjanic (Juventus): Team’s vertical long shots and out of penalty area kick specialist, Pjanic will have a good chance to collect fantasy points in a quasi-must win for his team.
Forward: Bas Dost (Sporting Lisbona): See comments for Alberto Botia above. Sporting will field its main center-forward from the first minute.
