Sorry I missed last week’s Football Hotpage, but last week my daughter graduated from UCF, the alma mater of Blake Bortles among others. Bortles has been great over the past few weeks. Think back to the beginning of the season. People would have laughed hysterically if you took Bortles ahead of Matt Ryan, Derek Carr or Marcus Mariota. But, here we are, 15 weeks into the season and Bortles is ahead of all three. Not only that, but the Jags signal caller is doing it without Allen Robinson, or Alan Hurns, his top two receivers. Then Marqise Lee goes down and in comes Keelan Cole and Jaydon Mickens to step up. And
The reasons I am going down this path is to vent over my DFS lineup tinkering Sunday. At 12:50 last week, all locked and loaded for the week, I hear that Fournette is out and Ivory is expected to get the carries in a great matchup. So time to tinker. My lineup was set with McCaffrey at flex and Keelan Cole as my cheap flyer at RB. So I was able to move from McCaffrey to Ivory giving me enough money to “upgrade” Cole to Diggs. So Ivory wets the bed, McCaffery and Cole combine for 62, and my big week goes down the drain.
